Mission
Friends of the Orange Public Library supports and enhances our local library's resources and programs.
Vision
We envision a thriving, literate community connected by a love of reading a learning. We will accomplish this by:
- Generating grant funds from bookstore, online, and special sales
- Accepting and Distribution donations
- Seeking bequests from estates and trusts
- Fostering volunteerism in the community
Our Story
The Friends of the Orange Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of community residents who believe in the value and future of our public library. The Friends support the Library with funds from the Friends Bookstore, by receiving and encouraging personal donations, bequests from estates and distributions from trusts, and by encouraging community support for a better library. This wonderful group of volunteers has been serving the Orange Public Library and the community since 1959.
