The Friends of the Orange Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of community residents who believe in the value and future of our public library. The Friends support the Library with funds from the Friends Bookstore, by receiving and encouraging personal donations, bequests from estates and distributions from trusts, and by encouraging community support for a better library. This wonderful group of volunteers has been serving the Orange Public Library and the community since 1959.
The Friends generously provide the Library with the following:
- Financial support for the Children's Summer Reading Program
- Large Print books
- DVDs for all three branches
- Funds for other projects requested by the Library
- Outreach Programs
- And more!
Arline Minor Memorial Friends Bookstore Reopening!
After a 9 month shut down, our Book Store is reopening on Monday, November 30, 2020! New hours and times: M-F 11am-3-pm. Cash and credit cards accepted. All safety protocols will be followed: face coverings are required, only 2 customers allowed in at a time and hand sanitizer stations are available inside and outside of the Book Store.
