The Friends depend on gently used books, DVDs and CDs to stock our Bookstore shelves and supply our Books Sales. In addition, some of our donated books are added to the Library's collection.

What we accept:

• Gently used hardback and paperback fiction and non-fiction books for children, teens and adults
• Vintage and collectable books
• Commercially recorded DVDs and CDs

We do not accept:

• Magazines
• Encyclopedias
• Damaged Books (broken spines, missing pages, water damage, etc.)

Where to donate:
WE DO NOT accept donations INSIDE the bookstore, you can deposit your donations in the donation bin located at the east side of the Main Library parking lot.
For large donations of 5 boxes or more, please call (714) 288-2435 to schedule an appointment.

The Friends Legacy Program

Donations of all amounts will be appreciated.

The FOPL also maintain a Legacy Gift Program through which donors can help to maintain support for our libraries in future years. You can add your name to the list of Legacy Supporters and direct your gift to areas you choose. Simply click on the donate button and pay the amount you would like to donate. Please follow up with an e-mail to [email protected] or a phone call to (714) 288-2435, with your name, address, phone number and if you have a preference, the specific area you would like your donation to be used.
